Solarium
What is Solarium?
The solarium machine is a machine that provides unnatural tanning by emitting ultraviolet lights. Typically, emitted light is 97% UVA and 3% UVB. Sunlight consists of mixture of visible daylight in the medium-size wave, invisible infarction and ultraviolet lights. Ultraviolet lights are called UVA, UVB and UVC. UVC lights are harmful, for this reason, they are filtered by the ozone layer. UVA and UVB lights are the most important lights in the tanning. UVA lights provide the colour change of the pigments and the tanning.
UVB lights are very strong and burner lights; at the same time, they provide new pigment formation and thickening of the epidermis. The solarium machine actives the same biological mechanism. Tanning with solarium has the same effect as the sun. The only difference is that the lights in the solarium are combined and filtered in a certain way to be more reliable. UVA lamps and reflectors are used for the face application. UVB lamps are also used in solarium beds or cabinets together with UVA lamps.
