What is Carboxytherapy?

Carboxytherapy is the process of injecting carbon dioxide gas into the fatty tissue under the skin with an insulin injector (30 G Needle-0.3 diameter). While carbon dioxide gas mechanically contributes to the destruction of fat cells it also stimulates blood circulation. It provides that oxygen reaches to the area where the application is performed with the increased blood circulation. As a result of these reactions, the tissues will be in order and fluid stuck in the cells is dissipated. 

What are the Benefits of The Carboxytherapy Application?

Carboxytherapy application allows the elimination of cellulite formed by irregular and excessive accumulation of fat under the skin, especially in the leg, arm and hip area, apparently identified with oranges and which is regional circulatory disorder and melting of the fat cell and the revival of the tissue.

In Which Areas Can Carboxytherapy Be Applied?

Carboxytherapy is applied to hip, waist, leg, arm areas for the regional slimming, tightening and elimination of cellulite.

What are The Periods and Stages of the Carboxytherapy Application?

Before the application, the needle entry area is cleaned with antiseptic liquid. To the necessary areas, carbon dioxide injection is performed according to the person and need. The duration of the session is 5-15 minutes. It takes approximately 5-15 sessions. The ideal treatment is planned as 3 or 1 session per week. The frequency and duration of the sessions varies according to the type of skin, treated area and problem. It varies according to the person and positive differences can be observed in the skin after 5th session.

Who Should Avoid From The Carboxytherapy Application?

Carboxytherapy is not applied to those who have cancer, are pregnant and breastfeeding, have advanced diabetes, necrosis, Von Willebrand which is a kind of bleeding problems, varicosis and thrombophlebitis problem.

What are the Points to Be Considered Before and After the Carboxytherapy Application?

It’s recommended not to use aspirin, blood thinners and alcohol before the process. After the application, the person should not take a shower on the application day and the treated area should not be exposed to water; activities such as swimming, sauna and Turkish bath should be avoided. On the days after the application at least 3 litres of water per day should be consumed.

What Are the Side Effects of The Carboxytherapy Application?

During the Carboxytherapy application, burning, tingling, spasm, tickling, numbness and fullness sensation can be felt. Swelling, oedema, redness and temperature increase that will pass automatically within 2-3 days and bruises which may heal within 2-3 weeks may occur.
